About the Fiskeriets Hus
The Fiskeriets Hus is an independent institution and was opened in April 1992. The building has been built in the style of typical local tool sheds. It offers a fantastic view of the Ringkøbing fjord and the lock system of Hvide Sande on its south side. The museum tells the just over 80-year history of the place – the youngest city in Denmark – which was created after the construction of the drainage sluice in the 1930s.
